Great post -- I'm sorry I didn't see this until just now. Intellipedia is doing incredible things to change the govt culture into one that promotes information sharing; and I'm excited to be a very small part of it.

Found the presentation from workshop B on Eric's Waterwords website. Anything you and Steve could provide from workshop A would be great. I'll keep you posted on my attempts to share the knowledge I gained!
Thanks Matt!

Do you recall what information from workshop A caught your eye? With regard to B, I think it will be a matter of reaching out to Kelly Flynn to see if the presenter provided his presentation so they can upload it to the wiki created for the event.

If you recall any specific information that caught your eye from session A please let me know and I'll work with Steve Radick to make sure you get whatever you need in a PowerPoint format. We had our presentation on a wiki.

Hey Matt!
I am still trying to digest all that I learned....
I've been tasked to provide my organization a summary of what was discussed....wanting to pull charts out of some of the presentations, especially the pre conference workshops (A and B) I attended. Where would I find them? Thanks!

John - the best summary of the conference is on this very blog. Take a look through all of our past posts and pictures and you'll get a pretty good wrap-up of the sessions. If you have any specific questions, just post another comment and I or one of the attendees should be able to answer it.

Sounds like it was an amazing forum to share ideas.

Is there a summary? I'm doing a social media report from my past 4 years of work in this area and would love to reference the event.

Flickr as suspected is just one of the many social media sites that we here in the Federal Government are blocked from accessing. Certainly, this is with good cause as file content on the WEB could be malicious or unrated to say the least. However, I have within a few short minutes of attempting to do so, found examples within our communications departments of YouTube like sites where well controlled, high cost, video productions are stored for access at any time but getting a video put up is certainly not as easy as we've seen it can be. There is even a glorified e-mail notification for new content and code for an RSS feed that I do not know how to make use of. The examples I've found will need to evolve greatly to provide the functionality I've now been exposed to.

David is a great motivator and well versed on a topic we can all relate to. His enthusiasm will go a long way. The real-life stories and vodcast he shared were well received. Keep up the good work.

Hi Social Media Attendees!

It was great meeting you all this past week. I had so much fun working for you and discussing all the latest and greatest social media techniques and trials that you face. Like everything, this is a process, and it's great that we can continue the conversations and discussions well-beyond the conference dates.

I will be sending you an invitation for our wiki in the next week or two. Also, keep in mind that now that you are a past attendee, you can save $200 on your next A.L.I. conference registration.

I look forward to reading and posting. Blog on!
